did you make the columns?

I did make them. I like playing with the architectural details. I found a 3/8" piece of molding at Lowe's, an 8 foot piece is about $3, and it goes a long way! The columns are made out of 1/2" x 1/2" square piece of wood from the hobby store, with bass wood slats beefing up the base. And wood putty to fill in the gaps in my mitering.
