French doors: building side lights to fit a kit door to a wider hole

denkyem

Inside view of the doors, after I built those two additional side frames out of trim, flush with the exterior trim of the houseworks door. I bought trim/frame stuff that almost matched the houseworks exterior door frame -- close enough you don't notice the difference (but you can't see the trim routing here 'cause you're looking at the back). Very grateful to have an the wonderful Little Dollhouse Company here in Toronto, where their very kind and helpful house builder/co-owner, John, helped me sort through the various mini lumber and pick out some things to try using for this.

I'm jealous. I'm blindly buying stuff on line and hoping for the best. It would be wonderful to have a dollhouse company nearby.
