Standing desk, open
Antique standing desks like these were frequently seen at the head of classrooms in the 18th and 19th centuries, for the teacher to use.
This one was made for the sugar shack so that the Aucoins can run over and do a little desk-work without having to get all the way up and down during a long day of sugaring! I gave it a high, metal stool like 1960s science classrooms used to have—inflammable, unstainable, and perfect for dragging around the shack if your feet get too tired. Contrast of time periods and materials, added usefulness for my little owners.
