Conservatory Roof

JenniferKennedy

The roof. Tried to wrap the wood with copper sheeting, that didnt work so I just painted it in "faux" copper. Nothing is glued down here, not even the tile... For some reason Im terrified to make that step!

I often wondered how the copper sheeting would work but it sounds as if it is rather difficult. Using paint certainly solved your problem though and it looks great.

I don't ever glue down my flooring-just because some of my electricity runs through the ceilings and floors. If there's ever an issue, I can get to it without having to tear my house up. *Wish I had known this in my very first dollhouse. :-/ So, you may want to consider not permanently attaching it. I use matte board for my flooring though-it's sturdier and stays flat.

LOVE your BH. :-)

Jennifer can I ask you the size (dimensions of the conservatory??? I have not put on the 3 kitchen windows yet. Im thinking that I like to put a greenhouse there. Im checking out the kits that are available. I just dont know if they would fit.

The kitchen depth (the side wall where the windows would go) is 10in, my conservatory is just under 10in. Ten, or under should work. (my conservatory outside door is facing the front, so it will depend on where you want it to face) did that make sense??
