Christmas Trees from Witch's Hats

I painted the cone with dark green craft paint and the base with white gesso. I printed some poinsettias from a website offering free artwork and decoupaged them to the base with polyacrylic. When I put on a second coat of polyacrylic, I sprinkled the base with glitter for a little extra pizzazz.

I used an awl to punch holes in the cone. I cut dark green and metallic green chenille "pipe cleaners" into 3" bits and folded them in half. The pinched fold was dipped into glue and stuck into the holes. Plan B worked well.
