For me it's not the yellow paint as much as the John Deere green trim! wow.

LOL! I totally agree. (Although the doll who is going to live in this house is a landscaper, and does own various earth moving equipment!)

Personally, I like the shade of yellow on that house, and I even like the green trim. However, I think I would remove the green trim from the bottom of the second floor windows above the picture window, and I would take down the trim from the porch roof. In addition, I think I would have opted to make the front door white or brown.

I love the brick walkway and patio, and I think the brick looks good against the yellow. From the picture the paint looks good, so I would hold off on re-painting it until everything else on the house is done. By then, you may get used to the color. It is such a cute house, however, that I am sure whatever you do with it will work out fine.

The color yellow is a favorite but perhaps if you change the green trim you would be happier with it. Look at a color wheel for some ideas of colors that work with yellow.

I think a rust color or a light blue would look good for the trim. Then again, I didn't have a problem with the green.
