Although it's hard to see in the photo, I did add 4 coats of gloss varnish but I took this photo before I had put on all the coats of varnish. Once I finish glueing the walls I can install this wood floor in once piece. I made a template of the floor using card stock and glued all the wood pieces to the stock to make it an easier installation. It was fun to create this!

Quite an undertaking,and it turned out just beautiful! I can't wait to see it in place! I guess I was still offline and sick when you first posted these...I'm so glad I looked back! :)

Thanks! It did take a bit of time to cut all the wood and fit it as best as I could after I decided upon the layout. I haven't had time to work on my Garfield since but hope to begin again soon. I will post more photos once I have finished up more of the build. Hope you're feeling lots better too.
