Debora59 2,608 Posted September 3, 2014 looks fantastic! But of course it would, you made it. Now I must ask I think I read you are new at miniatures? If so, what is in your life that gives you such expertise as if you have building for years? Quote Link to comment
Myangela 1,106 Posted September 3, 2014 Thanks Debora, I am new to dollhouses, but, not to miniatures. I have been working on my husband's HO railroad, painting the kit buildings and working on the landscaping, over the past five years. Never really thought about doing a dollhouse, though I have to admit, my HO scale buildings have a lot of detail, including custom curtains, stained glass windows, awnings, rooftop garden on one, ivy covered walls on another, etc. I scratch built a covered bridge, put a beaver dam in the river, even hand carved three tiny beavers from twigs, because I couldn't find any in HO scale, and what's a dam without beavers? A pile of sticks! I have always been creative and artistic, the swans is my most recent watercolor. I do think working on the HO scale taught me a lot, I certainly have access to and experience with a lot of tools for miniatures. I really enjoy this so much, much more than the railroad. What can I say? 1 Quote Link to comment

Myangela 1,106 Posted September 4, 2014 I have watched your progress on the 1/6 scale house, and have loved your work. (Especially enjoy the pictures with Mr. Craig, and want to thank you for sharing him with us, it's not like we all have one!). But, it wasn't until this evening, while I was looking for your recent posts, because too many times get too wrapped up in what I'm doing and really DO want to know what others are working on and how it's going, that I discovered YOU did the French Chateau! It was one of the first houses I saw when I found this community, scratch build, I sat mesmerized (3+ hours, at least) and went through each and every one of your posts and pictures. I was, truly, so amazed! Absolutely incredible work. I am flattered that you love my work, I just want you to know you honestly were one of my inspirations to think outside the box. And, thank you for sharing your gorgeous work. 1 Quote Link to comment
