Stain Proof of Concept

The different color stains and paint are coming together as planned without making too much of a mess. I start with the two lighter colored stains which are water based and then do the dark cherry stain next. The oil tends to not absorb into wood already stained with the water based stain, which is fortunate. I keep a paper towel handy to wipe up errors as I go.
