Third floor bathroom floor

Myangela

Still a lot of work to do in there, but I think I laid my last floor inside this house! Just finished cutting and glueing the tiles! Grouting will have to wait. Having a glass of wine. The tile embellishments are from a piece of dark brown mat board that I had. I made the vessel sink out of polymer clay yesterday, haven't baked it yet. I'm building a glass and tile shower for the right corner, and a nice vanity (stained wood, a furniture type lifted on some type of legs) spanning the opposite wall. I'm also planning to take the travertine up the walls probably even with the backsplash behind the vanity. I made two sheets so I'd have enough. Lighting, got to come up with something there. Same with mirror. And, same with what to do with what little will be left showing of these three walls. This has been such a difficult room! It has plagued me, like, forever! I've got it pretty much down, as of today! I didn't even consider embellishments in the tile until today, while waiting for the third travertine attempt to dry! It's coming together! Oh, that gap in the wall beside the bathroom door is there because I borrowed some real estate from the nautical room. Hey, it's got a balcony, well, it will, when build it. Reminder to myself - you need to get the balcony thingy done/started.

Love that tile! Your faux painting abilities leave me green with envy, just sayin'. And the brown embellishments set off the floor just perfectly. The sink looks wonderful too. Great job!!
