L Swearengin 1,203 Posted August 6, 2014 OK, with my tummy being spazzy this AM, I start sanding the fretwork on the porch and find that is was broken in at least three places. Carefully removed it from the front of the house and in process of scraping old glue away from repairs (mostly hot glue), and will sand, paint and reattach. Spindles from upper part are off since most of them were missing. I might use the fancy toothpicks as a replacement?? Quote Link to comment
jbnmini 2,062 Posted August 6, 2014 When doing my SF rehab I used a LOT of the spray paint remover! LOL And LOTS of sanding! I think the fancy toothpicks would be a great replacement for the missing spindles. This is a wonderful find! Have fun! 2 Quote Link to comment
L Swearengin 1,203 Posted August 6, 2014 I was going to keep the main body pink, so I don't want to use the spray remover. The body paint is in fairly good shape, and I have LOTS of pink paint. (got an "oops" can at Wal Mart and it's a match. 1 Quote Link to comment

L Swearengin 1,203 Posted August 7, 2014 couldn't beat the price for sure, but I am thinking the one In my treasure under the other four (or is it five), is getting a little bit peeved at me. Quote Link to comment
