Appliances are my concession to not being able to build everything. This fridge is a design that can be had in the U.K. but not so easily here in the U.S.... and in the U.K., only in white. But I found an artisan who customizes them into a few other colors, and since it's time-consuming enough to get a fridge over the ocean without then having to buy paint and custom-spray-paint it myself (I've done it for appliances in other houses, what a pain!)—I ordered it from her and let her do the stainless-steel look for me.

I'm thrifty but not crazy!

Took a few weeks, but what's the rush? And it came out great.
