Moving to the first floor... a shot of the kitchen in progress. In the background is a "built-in" upholstered banquette, not yet upholstered, with a farmhouse table and painted canvas floorcloth.

In the foreground, a punched-tin decorated piesafe that we got years ago as castoff parts from someone's show class in a grab bag for a dollar. It was missing some pieces, had too many of other pieces, and of course was unfinished and unbuilt and without instructions, which made it a puzzle that we came back to a few times and always decided was too hard to figure out! But at last, this house demanded that piesafe be finished, so we tackled it.

Punching tin is not much fun. But I do love the way it turned out!!
