First attempt at wood turning

Encouraged by the easy turning of metals while making the shaft for the failed saw, I though wood turning should be easier.

And it was. And quite satisfying. Also might be addictive, especially since I miss woodworking so much.

Anyway, in this picture you can see the starting piece to the left, some old walnut branch and the finished piece. I had no design in mind when I started turning, lust wanted to see if it will work, so please ignore the shape of the result. Nest time I'll give it more thought and also try to find a nicer figure wood.

Well,I have never seen a raw piece of walnut wood,so it's cool that you displayed it,plus what you made from it is so lovely-Keep it up! :)
