M and D's Victoria's Farmhouse

M and D

Found some amazingly strong magnets that work perfect for hinged panels. Neodymium magnets are small and extremely powerful, will hold anything closed. I nailed a small finishing nail into the panel where I wanted one magnet, cut the head off and closed the door so the nail marked the wall for the centre of the second magnet. Pull the nail out, drill 1/2 inch diameter hole with a forstner bit just slightly less than the depth of the magnets and glue them in the hole. Works great and looks very clean. The magnets are totally hidden when door is closed and if you want can be painted or covered with wall paper since they will still work through the material.
