finished chair

WyckedWood

I had bought two chairs that I was planning to reupholster and use in this house. I came to the realization they were just too petite, although they fit the room well, size wise, they didn't give the cozy overstuffed look I wanted. But I had this other chair that was perfect, although the fabric was wrong and I only had one of them. So I took it to bits and made a pattern from it, turning one chair into 3. Made from small amounts of mat board, card stock, foam core, quilt batting and fabric, all things I had on hand so basically free :-) Free is good. I really like the way they turned out.

Thank you, this one isn't a holiday fabric but I liked the way the red and white looked in the house. Ive made a few chairs from kits, that helps to get to know the basics of how the different parts go together. I was happy with these two there was no wood to cut, and all that I needed was scissors, and yet theyre very sturdy.

That is fabulous fabric! I keep hoping I'll find some in a small enough scale someday. Great job! Love the longish ruffle around the bottom.

This is beautiful! I would love to try to upholster a chair someday. Was it difficult to do? Did you find a tutorial? It really does look very cozy and comfy!
