And all four rooms are now papered. Before I did the upstairs floors, I drilled a little hole in the kitchen ceiling and 3 little holes in the living room ceiling, and inserted brass headpins from above. Then I cut and bent them into ring shapes - so that I can hang lights from them. The little raised sections are hardly noticeable in the bathroom and bedroom. All the papered areas also received a coat of varnish to protect them.
