I Carpet, Etc
In my stash of books was one on needlepoint in miniature, and I came across this carpet pattern. It looked intriguing so I tried it. First I had to modify the size, as it was square and I need a rectangle. I didn't really have the time to sit down and work on this project, so I packaged it up in a carrying case and took it with me to staff meetings, doctors' offices, or any place I had to sit and wait for awhile. It took about a year to complete the carpet. The table in this picture was made from a scrap of wood and wooden pencils for the legs. I couldn't find anything appropriate for the legs, and got to looking at a new pencil - nice shape, sturdy - sanded off the yellow paint and stained the new table legs!
The little pink cake on the table is a ceramic piece made by my daughter.
