fiddly bits
I have been slowly making progress on this house
I am down to the fiddly bits which ispent 3 hours punching sanding glueing back together sanding and painting. uuggg. sometimes the gingerbread trim(fiddly bits) is hard to break loose from the sheets
and sometimes you get ahold of some who want to fall apart in your fingers...guess what I was so lucky to have both happen to me.but I persvered and am pleased to say its all painted and looking very nice.
I even managed to get some of it on the house.
also note that the bottom of the house is now blue. I will not be using the slot trim that came with the kit...for some reason all of my peices were different widths so I am going to use either chair rail or some stripwood that I have. I had a hard time understanding how to get the bay window in but again I stayed with it...did the best I could and its not too bad inside or out! after letting the glue dry I used my gallery glass and gave the window a good glazing!
inside I have the bedroom almost papered. I used the tissue/paint effect for the walls of each dormer
I am papering the triangles with the paper also. and each octagon window will be glazed
I also papered the living room and the photo shows how I know that wallpaper is NOT my friend!
I mean would a friend leave you like this?
so once again I find myself fixing the smidge that didnt get papered right in view of all who are looking in
my building of this house would go much faster if I could only agree and stick with ANY of the decorating plans I come up with.
