tissue/paint effect
I use this method alot. its quick and gives a very nice plaster/stucco effect and its cheep which
always makes me happy.
I use 2 ply toliet tissue which I tear into strips
I use whatever paint I think I will like because when it is dry I can always paint over.
step 1-- paint the surface first
step 2 --apply the tissue 1 ply at a time to the wet surface than gently brush on more paint over the top of the tissue
do not put pressure on the brush as it will mush up and get clumpy
of course you can always fix this...so if it happens just mush it where it belongs or if worse comes to worse
scrap it off and try again.
you want to use about half a sheet and try for jagged edges as that helps each peice blend into the next.
I did all of the outside of the orchid in about 2 hours.
like I said before...this color seems to dark but I can always paint over it when dry.
good thing to remember if ya want to use up some old paint.
I hope this is helpful to someone.
nutti
I decided it was too hot for a shopping trip. but I really wanted to change the color....ahh HA
I remembered I had a mid size bottle of antique white and so I repainted the outside!
I am much happier now...one more coat and I will be ready to move on to the next step.
