Starting the Orchid

So far, house shell is glued and dry. Glued in second floor tonight; took some maneuvering because that piece is warped, even though I left it under weights overnight. Also have sanded and painted 3 coats on window frames. I'm finding that common sense and other members' comments are helping way more than the kit directions. Trying to keep thinking ahead to avoid any big mistakes. Greatest progress today was removing a huge splinter from my right hand. You've heard of defensive driving? Well these little houses need defensive building :bigwink: Later gator.

Pat, I was looking at your second picture. I'm assuming that you are just using the downstairs wall just for support while the 2nd floor dries, right? If for some reason that is not the case, then I think you have it upside-down.

Yes, it was just to support that wonky second floor. But I'm glad you noticed it. I'm great at putting stuff in upside down, backwards, etc. In the new hampshire house the kitchen is way over next tothe living room instead of next to the dining room. Everyone here is so polite; they never mentioned it.
