I took a break to finish something on another house. I had catriona take the walls outside and spray them with kilz primer.I stained the floors a natural stain and let them dry a few days agoso today I decided to see how far I could get!the ease of this kit made it go together so quickly I had to make myself stop and let the glue dry and take photos. I spent about 4 hours on this house yesterday. I am to the stage of the house where I have to decide....sidding or paint. I am leaning twords coloring the remaining white textured paint I have and paint the house with it. give it a beach flavor. with shingles on the roof. if I do use the siding I will not shingle the roofboth are put on one peice at a time and at this time I dont feel like doing both. as Im writing this I see the calypso blue paint that I have mixed with the whiteand painted on the house. hmmmmm ideas are forming B) photo #1 is how the house looked from step A to step C#2 is the inside step A to step C#3 is of the staircase primed and ready for painting. it will be white with black treads. I took a break and at 3am I had the bays sanded puttied and the some primedI also put the roof on to give the house stability. I have not glued the front roof in case I decide to side the house.#4 is of the baysand #5 is of the roof and bays.I have the stairs in also but not happy with the floor in that area so I havent glued them in yet. and I have to finish painting them. not bad for a days work. today I have been sanding all the puttied places just in case I paint....which I am very strongly leaning twords.....calypso blue..... I really like the ease of the directions and the kit is a dream. even after painting very little if any trimming was neaded. I would definatly consider this a good beginner kit! lots of ways to trim this house to make it unique. which is always a plus in my eyes.also something not shown on the box was the wonderful attic. it is T shaped. the stairs do not intrude into the rooms which is a plus and the closet underneath makes for many interresting ideas. in my opinion this house would make a great haunted house. well this is the end of my book.
