Well once again I have forgotten to update my blog as I accomplish stuff so heres another jumble-of-house-updates-in-one-blog-entry again! lol

Well let me start off by saying that there is nothing new with the Rutherford, the Quickbuild Classic Colonial, the Walmer Old Town or anything that was still in a box during my last post. But the Orchid, the Pizza Shop, and the Adams all have updates.

Lets start with the pizza shop since its changes are minimal. I can proudly say that the whole exterior is finished! I finally just dove in and did the tiles under the bay window.

I was scared . At first I was going to do red white and green tiles but the red and green were very odd looking--not very italian at all. So I Exchanged them for another package of white and 2 packages of black. When the second order showed up they sent me the wrong ones! HBS was very good about it though and quickly fixed the order. Gotta love them! Once the tiles were up I was able to do the sidewalk.

I also finished staining all the furniture inside the shop

the part that goes up on the left side of the counter is where the brick oven will be.

The Adams is complete now. Realizing I would have absolutely no time to finish my idea (The old woman who still lived in a shoe after all her children moved out and she turned the extra space into a sewing room. [my very first idea was the brick house of the 3 little pigs]) and with money being tight, I opted to just finish the house so I could enter the contest. Im ok with my final idea but I dont LOVE it. Its cute but its not outstanding. Im really dissatisfied with the bricks on the outside too. They came out fantastic but they are not right for this house. I probably could have come up with a more creative exterior finish but I didnt feel like picking off all the bricks I already put on so I just finished them instead. I still need to furnish and accessorize the Adams but the house itself is complete.

The Orchid is almost complete now as well. Im still doing the trim on the first floor but the second floor is finished. All the trim on the second floor is made of cardstock and the first floor is skinny sticks. I still need to do major touchups. I got a lot of paint on the wallpaper.
