Building a Cabin Porch

This is for a group project for an on-line forum I belong (World Wide Miniatures). The project is to create autumn scene in any container you choose and we need to complete the project during September. This will be a cabin-in-the-woods scene.

The porch is built from 1/2" foamboard -- something I've had lying around for years after DH bought the wrong size foamboard once upon a time. There are three pieces: 10X12", 10X8" and 10x6". The veneer is balsa wood cut to form and glued on top. The advantage is that 1/2" foamboard is much less likely to warp than 1/4" and it's going to be a bit more stable when built.
