It's taken me awhile, but I finally took pictures! I'm including pictures of the project i've been working on the past two days on and off....cutting the egg crate material into stone shapes. I still feel sick so i haven't felt up to doing anything else...I'm up to a whopping 2 baggies full now!...i probably need around 6 i'll bet, for the amount of house I want to cover. I'll fill in any gaps with spackle before i start gluing them on. I'm thinking gluing the stonework on before painting will be a good idea, then i can place the stones in the best pattern, then get a good distribution of colors by random coloring.
I took some pictures to show my mistakes off...i think my initial problem started with the very first panel that you start with...the front door panel, then the little panel that goes off the back of that. I was so worried about getting other things straight, I missed this somehow and in the end, alot of things didn't fit quite into their little slots really well like i would like. It does seem to be a sturdy house tho despite this. the worst of it is the tower panels don't meet the base...i'll cover that up with stone on the outside and trimwork on the inside.
