I'm finally up to the attic! I plan to start putting the roof on..... I still have the doors, molding around the inside of the rooms, both top and bottom, the porch, then putting stucco on the outside and outside lights, then shingling....I'm also waiting for the bedroom furniture to arrive that I ordered! I can see a light at the end of the tunnel! I just really love doing this...
Today was a good day. I think I've got hard wiring lights down to a science! I did two overhead lights. One over the doorway (Just behind and to the right of the stairs is the entrance to the house), and one over the kitchen. I thought I had bought a chandelier....but no I never did, so I ordered that today..... I also ordered lights for the second floor. So at the end of the week I should have all of those. Getting the fireplace lit was quite an escapade for me. But finally it is hardwired in. It was a good learning experience. Also, notice the light above the oven.... my daughter thought of that! My Weekend was fun! I have electricity!! See the lamp lit in the living room? I've been just working on the 1st floor. I've added carpet & wallpaper since the last post. I like rather neutral colors. To finish the 1st floor and move on to the second floor, I need to hard wire in the porch carriage lights that will hang just outside the door, then I can paper the wall on inside of the door way. I also need to hard wire the logs so they will light up in the fireplace! I want to put in

Well I stained the stairs and the kitchen floor. The stain turned out a little darker than I wanted on the stairs....the wood for the stairs they supplied was darker. But I think it will be ok. I put carpeting on the stairs. It will be the same carpeting as the dining room and living room. This weekend I'm hoping to get enough of the walls up to begin electrifying the first floor.... I'm a little nervous about it, but hopefully it will all go okay!
